Images in response

Images from source documents may appear in responses to user queries.

By default, knowledge base search does not consider the content of images, only the text around them. To search by images, enable generation of image descriptions in the project settings and re-index the knowledge base. These descriptions will be used along with the document text when searching and preparing responses.

caution

In the channels and the API, the knowledge base returns temporary links to images, and the validity of these links is limited. If a channel, such as a messenger, does not retain images, they disappear from the chat after the expiry period or after re-indexing the knowledge base.
